Another in the ongoing Whole Tribe Portrait project at River Twine Holt ([link]).

This is Chicory (adoptable!), along with her wolf-friend. She's the chief's younger sister.

Brush-pen inks, Copic marker coloring, some effects added in Photoshop.

Absolutely perfect! I especially love the wolf! The texture in his coat is phenomenal and your lupine anatomy is so amazingly accurate!! LOVE IT!

As everyone above me already mentioned Sleuth looks so real. And the simple way you made her fur is great.
I think it would be much better to give you my copics. I'm somehow not able to use them ^^°

Thank you! :)

And don't despair over the Copics! Maybe you just have to get used to them?

It may also matter if you have the normal (square-shaped) Copics, because I'm using the "Sketch" line (oval-shaped), which have a flexible brush-tip on one end. I know that Leonie has a set of the regular kind, which I think just have the wedge tip and a fine tip. I haven't tried that kind at all, but I think that must affect how they handle a lot! I feel very much as if I'm using a paintbrush, and thus, my technique with them is pretty much the same as the one I would use if I were painting with watercolor. So I get to use skills that I already had.

I do love doing the wolves. :D Thanks!

Thanks! I feel like it's hard to take much credit for the anatomy when I'm just drawing right from pics. I've got to teach myself to break away from that at some point.

She really is! Well, the girl next door who likes to play in the swamp with mud and frogs and stuff. ;-)
